Mindfulness & Meditation
Mindfulness meditation offers non-judgmental body-based present moment awareness. We learn to relax our thoughts into awareness of them. We learn to be with our thoughts in a new way, this calms the mind.
We learn to live from the heart, not just the head. We abandon fixed, rigid ideas and widen the view to embrace this fluid experience of change that defines our lives.
Meditation helps heal relationships, starting with how you relate to yourself. We learn to reframe difficult feelings and discover relief from stress, anxiety and anger. The experience of inner freedom helps us cultivate a kind and balanced attitude.
The benefits of regular meditation practice may be felt as increased compassion, emotional stability and mental clarity.

Personal guidance on the path
1. Make your Personal Map of Wellness: Together we will figure out who/what/where brings out the best in you. We will create a flowchart that you can follow to establish healthy habits and live a meaningful life.
2. Stress-Reduction techniques: You will learn methods of mindfulness-based stress reduction and find relief in guided nature-based meditations. Natural awareness and breath-based mindfulness techniques relax your nervous system. You’ll be rewarded with a more relaxed attitude towards your life.
3. Personal growth: Rooted in compassionate presence and heart centered guidance Hildur will help validate your experiences and figure out how the lessons learned along the way may benefit your spiritual growth. This practice helps resolve conflict and heal trauma. The findings will allow you to flourish into your best self.
Guided Group Mindfulness Meditation
In our weekly sessions we explore meditation practices rooted in Tibetan Buddhist traditions that evoke and accentuate innate qualities of wisdom, compassion, and natural awareness.
Our sessions are open to all. We aim to be inclusive and accommodating to all practitioners. No prior experience with meditation or Buddhism is necessary.
Scheduled Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12.30 pm and Wednesday mornings at 8.30 am EST.

Connect with your own vital force and with the flow of seasons through gentle meditative Tai Ji exercises incorporating breathing and posture dynamics.
REIKI
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
